Dr. Mike’s mission is to empower those around him to build a healthy, balanced life worth smiling about, and to just give dentistry a good name!

Dr. Mike immigrated from Moscow, Russia at the age of 6, and he’s proudly called the Detroit area home ever since. He and his family started a new life with the hope of realizing their aspirations, and Dr. Mike’s aspiration was always to help and to heal. He has felt an inherent sense of deep and profound empathy since childhood, and he consistently places empathy at the heart of his care. 

Dr. Mike completed his academics as a member of the University of Detroit Mercy’s accelerated 6 Year BS/DDS cohort, and graduated to become Michigan’s youngest dentist in 2013. His days at UDM were quite formative, as he forged strong professional relationships across our community, and was honored to serve a wide range of our diverse population in varied states of health and with diverse care needs. 

Dr. Mike’s eagerness to expand his knowledge of multi-disciplinary dentistry is still ever-present. He is a 2017 graduate of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry’s (AAID) MaxiCourse program,  having gained a comprehensive knowledge of implantology from current and past presidents of the Academy. He has since placed nearly 1,000 implants at MFDGP. Dr. Mike is currently also pursuing Fellowship status in the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), which requires no less than 500 hours of continuing education hours accumulated beyond dental school. This pursuit of clinical excellence has culminated in Dr. Mike receiving Hour Detroit’s Top Dentists distinction for multiple years!

Outside of building healthy relationships and smiles, Dr. Mike enjoys a considerably active family life! He’s husband to Chrissy, an ER nurse, and proud girl-dad to Mila. Dr. Mike’s “me” time is likely to be spent on long-distance running (4 marathons completed!), photography/videography, meditation, and studying philosophy and neuroscience.
